The WHC Swim Team is for your child to experience being part of a team, practice their swim skills and have FUN! Our swim team coaches are dedicated seasoned Lifeguards and many swim and compete at the High school or college levels. Registration forms are at the Gatehouse. Stop by and register your child(ren). There is a $50 fee per child/family maximum is $100 (cash or checks are accepted) which includes practices, swim meets, T-shirt, trophies, swim cap, ribbons and an end of the season party! Parents are encouraged to volunteer at swim meets!
Swim Team Readiness
Monday-Friday 10:00am-10:30am
Swim Team Readiness is for the 6, 7 and 8 year olds that want to try the swim team, but are hesitant of their ability. During Swim Team Readiness lessons, instructors will work on correct freestyle stroke, kick and breathing. After your child has demonstrated the ability to proficiently swim one length of the pool (25 meters), the instructor will follow them to Swim Team Practice. Once the child is comfortable participating in the practice, they can begin to participate in swim meets.
Swim Team Practice
Monday-Friday 10:30am-11:45am
As part of the South Hills Swim League, Woodland Hills Club members have the opportunity to participate with our swim team. Age groups are determined by the child's age as of June 1st, 2019. Age groups are 9-10, 11-12 & 13-18. Swimmers are not required to participate in meets, however if a team member wants to participate, they are guaranteed to swim in the meet.
Warm-ups at Home meets start at 5:30 pm, unless otherwise directed
Warm-ups at Away meets start at 6:00 pm, unless otherwise directed
Invitational warm-up times vary
Swim meets start at 6:30 pm
** rain dates for Invitational meets are the following day
*** Subject to change if there is inclement weather
